When men say they are "babysitting" their own kids, it does sort of say something. That being said, the last 20 years men have come a LONG way as a whole in taking care of babies. My father born in '46 never changed a diaper being a father of 4. But things have changed, and many men are very good fathers. In my opinion, having a 11 yr. old, AND a new baby, Huggies quality has decreased. They use to be good. But they aren't that good now.

Oh, and to be fair, there are bad mom's out there too. BUT, that being said, the implication is that men will let their child sit in a soiled or wet diapers, intentionally, or ignorantly- right? That they maybe don't interact with their children enough to notice they are in need of a diaper change? I think the commercial is misleading because the fathers in this commercial, don't seem to fit that description. As far as if Huggies can stand up to anyone who's paying proper attention to their kids-- if a diaper's going to fail, it will no matter if it's the mom or dad.

Yet another example of people being too thin-skinned, why not just have a laugh at it?

I don't think it means to insult them..does it portray them as most of them are..yes..between us we have 7 boys, 5 are fathers..then there are 3 sons in law... of those 8, 4 are quite capable and don't mind doing what needs to be done when it needs doing...the other 4 are clueless or they act that way!! My husband loves to play dumb when we keep grandkids..ha..I know better... :)

Yes. It bums me out to see men being dismissed as useless. I could not live my lifestyle if it wasn't for my hard working hubby. Men want and need to feel like they're contributing. I make sure he feels appreciated, esp. since he's responsible for everything.

Kids need 2 parents! Even if the parents are the same sex. Parents need 2 parents.

He handles all the paperwork - which is a lot because of the farm and always includes me & gets my opinion. He mends all the fences, lifts heavy bales of hay and custom grinds all the home-grown chow for our critters. edit:(then goes to work 40 hrs a week to make sure we have health insurance) That's my hubby, not men in general. That wasn't the point. I just hate to see the man bashing going on out there when men are good people. I like men and I'll gladly take care of mine.

Men rarely do everything and in this day and age they do less than their fair share of the household chores and child rearing when the women of the house works full time.

When my daughter was young and my husband was home and I was working, I took her to day care because it was his day off and he wanted to rest. I cut the grass, I paid the bills, cooked the meals and did all the house work as well. He did nothing but his job.

It is not bashing men, it is the truth.
