Do girls care if guys like sports or not?

Because I mostly see girls with guys that are into sports and why not be with guys that aren't that sporty. I mean, does sports matter while you're in love? To me, it doesn't buy love, love only comes from the two people's hearts and they loving them for who they are, not loving them because they're sporty. Although, I'm not a huge fan of sports at all, I don't hate them, sports just doesn't excite me. Furthermore, if my friends or future girlfriend wanted me to go with them/ her to any game, I would only willingly do it for them/her, not for me. But regardless of what I said that isn't relevant with my question I'm asking.

I mainly want a straight answer of do girls think guys have to like sports or not. Sorry, I'm just feeling quite insecure about this (of course many other things in particular).
