But there were 2 girls who graduated with me who had babies sophomore year and another girl who was pregnant senior year. We were cordial, but not necessarily friends.

Not yet, although one is pregnant and so I won't be alone in mummy-dom anymore. I'm so excited for her (escpecially since I don't plan on having anymore any time soon)

One of my former friends from high school was pregnant, but I stopped hanging out with her after we graduated because I did not approve of the person she had become or her lifestyle choices. Anyways, she had gotten pregnant late last year, but I'm pretty sure she wound up miscarrying. Better for everyone involved, if you ask me. She would have been a terrible mother. She barely could take care of herself.

A kid is a baby goat or lamb. I find it disconcerting when children are called a kid because in biblical times and still today in some places goats and lambs are slaughtered in religious sacrifices.

Most of them do actually. We're all only under 25 and they are either married with kids or just have kids. It's scary.
