Disproving the Ark.

There’s the obvious problem of the animals not being able to fit, but what about the rain?

A quick Google search yields that the average radius of the Earth is
6378 km. The Bible never says how deep the flood was, but some Christian
sources say it’s 3 kilometers, so the radius of the earth including the
water would be 6381 km.

The volume of a sphere is 4πr³/3. That means that the volume of the earth is about 1,086,781,292,542 cubic kilometers.

The volume of the Earth including the flood water is 3,264,946,715,365 km³
by the same formula. As shown by a simple subtraction, the volume of
the water itself must have been about 2,178,165,422,823 cubic km. That’s
100 billion cubic kilometers of water pouring down on the earth each
day, because we can only divide by 20 to account for the time the water
took to disappear.

4 billion cubic km every hour.

75 million cubic km of water every minute.

1.26 million cubic km of water every second.

The equation for how far an object falls after release:

S = VoT + (1/2)gT²

S is distance traveled

Vo is the original velocity (in this case, 0)

g is 9.8 m/s².

T is time in seconds.

So that works out to:

S = 0(1) + (1/2)(9.8)(1²)

= 4.9 meters, or .0049 km.

The surface area of the Earth is 510,072,000 km². For the
water to fit, 510 million must be greater than 1,260,000 cubic km
divided by .0049 cubic km, which is 257 million. 257 million divided by
510 million gives us how much water there would be compared to the air.

There would be more water than air pouring down every second,
flooding the ark and rendering everyone on it unable to breathe. In
addition, the water would be pouring down so hard that it would push the
boat completely under. This would be happening constantly for 20 days.
