+1My children do have their father's name though (non-hyphenated). It does not bother me when my kids friends call me by their surname either. He wanted all our money kept separate, like I was going to steal his money or anything (I made more than him) The second time I was determined to do it right, including taking his name. It makes you feel more like two in one like marriage is supposed to be. It's working just fine! :-)reply
