In North America Mother's Day is in May. It is in March in the UK and I don't know about other places. I think Mother's Day is ridiculous and I am a mother. If you can't show your mother that you love her every day then what does a card and flowers really mean on some arbitrary day people are guilted into observing?
well, my mother says that, i really love her & make sure to show her that but mother's day is a special day at least to give her a gift & reminds me if i forgot
I have a seventeen year old son. He doesn't regularly tell me he loves me or pay any attention to Mother's Day (and I told him not to) but I know he loves me because he shows it in many little ways all the time. Yesterday, in the course of a conversation, he told me he is never embarrassed by me and that I am a little bit weird but in a good way. What I heard was, " I love you, mum."
Often they are. My father had a horrible mother. I think she was actually a sociopath. She was not sweet and she did not love her son. Or her grandchildren. Fortunately dad had grandmothers who made up for what his mother lacked.
