Gifts? No. But I have a roof over my head. I have a job that lets me pay the bills. Maybe not a wife, but a loving girlfriend. A working, late-model vehicle. My parents are still alive. And I have my health, for the most part.

I have been greatly and wonderfully blessed. I may not have everything I want, but I do have everything I need.

Yes

My husband bought me three perfumes I wanted. The kids got all they wanted and were really happy. Our Christmas eve celebration was a success. Overall it was a great Christmas.

I asked for nothing, I got nothing. Tangible, that is. Christmas Eve was spent in an elf suit at the local Childrens Hospital; that evening was spent installing a HD and OS on a neighbor's computer; Christmas Day I was helping serve dinner at a shelter.

I got great gifts such as clothes, shoes, jewelry, money and giftcards. The greatest
gift I got was love and friendship from those closest to me. That's what I wanted most of all and what is most important to me at Christmas.

It was a finacially strained year, so my husband and I did not exchange gifts. I did enjoy watching our 4 children open theirs however. Most of them did not notice that the gifts were cheaper than previous years, and they got only one expensive one they had to share which was a nintendo ds.

But we were together, we had a great dinner, and it was more spiritual to my husband and I. My greatest gift was another Christmas with the family I love
