Did you ever have an extremely sore throat that drove you crazy and the pain, even if you didn't swallow, just wouldn't let up for about 24 hours?

    last sore throat from hell I had was when I had chickenpox in my mid thirties. It was a truly special experience. I was sick as a dog and the only thing that saved me was my friend who came to my house every day, took care of my cats, made me jello, and brought me a giant slurpee from seven eleven. I could barely get out of bed. She was and is my best friend on earth. I think she is the personification of all that is good in the universe. As I recall this went on for something like 10 days.

    Strep of course can be horrible too but I can't remember the last time I had that.
