Yes, I had to excuse myself after making him get up from a booth that he kept blocking me in and Said I was going to the bathroom. I went towards the bathroom then when he wasn't looking I veered off into the kitchen of the Mexican food restaurant we were at..
I then ask where is the back door? They pointed and I RAN like the devil was on my heels. I jumped into my car, locked the doors and drove like crazy to outrun him... It was a blind date and I had arranged to meet him at the restaurant. SO he didn't know where I lived. I had to change my cell phone number because of him.
He would not quite touching and feeling. He talked of nothing but sexual and made threats and direct hints that this meal was going to cost me big time.... Plus, He absolutely stunk. He appeared like he was on some type of medication as his eyes were wild and pupils dilated. NO MORE BLIND DATES ! EVER.

While I've had a few bad dates I've yet to have one that I would consider "from hell"

Oh, yes. First off, I met him at a Catholic Singles group only to find, on our first date, that he wasn't single, he was divorced. He arrived late, and began the conversation with, "This has been a terrible day, so it probably won't get any better." He proceeded to complain about his ex-wife all the way to the restaurant where we were having dinner. After three tries at finding a restaurant, we finally found one where we could be seated immediately. At one point I got up to go to the restroom (I did consider leaving through the back door and calling my mother to have her pick me up). As I got up I hit my head on a tiffany light fixture that hung too low at the table. Instead of asking if I was ok, he laughed and said he was glad it wasn't him. After dinner we went to a movie. While we were waiting for it to start he asked if I'd ever been to an x rated film. WHen I said I had he got angry, so I asked why he asked, if he didn't want to know the answer. At the end of the film, he argued about the ending, and then got angry again in the car when he asked me if I liked the music he was playing (I didn't particularly, and by that time I was past caring what he thought.)

Oh well, she was very pretty. but, she had a jealous boyfriend that I didn't know about previously? She kept saying that we were being followed. Long story short, it's time to go home when nobody is having a good time. I started dating somebody else. (she went back to her own little hell.)

Yes. Only one and I didn't know it was a blind date. 15 years old and a boy asked me out. He even introduced himself to my Mom and shook her hand, so mom approved. When I got into the car he introduced me to his girlfriend. Really. Then climbed in the back seat. He only invited me because his older friend (21 years old) offered to drive him and his girlfriend to the movies if he got him a date.

It went from bad to the worse. I ended up in the hospital the next day (drug overdose from what this man gave me) and the cops showing me mug shots. HIS was one of them.

Never again and I watch over my daughter like a hawk.

He was incredibly gorgeous. He spent the entire evening discussing industrial chemicals.

End of story and end of relationship.

Yes I did and I have actually quit trying because 10 years ago I was in my 50's and my dates were older guys who thought they were 18. The first took me out to dinner and flirted with the waitress, the food was horrible, then took me home and proceeded to take off his clothes in my living room. I don't know what came over him or why he thought that was okay. I had to tell him he was disgusting and shortly afterward my teenage son came through the door and chased him back to this car. The second date a few months later invited me to a restaurant, then actually didn't take me out but took me to his house, then took off his clothes. His girlfriend showed up and surprised him, while I was trying to leave out the door. She beat him up in front of me, grabbed his car keys, and then drove me home. No more dating for me. (I met both of these guys from acquaintances at my last job).

Your first one .. I've had a blind date like that ..
(SHUDDER) .. the guy was totally clueless when I called him out on that too ..
(thankfully .. I was always independent with my own vehicle and just paid my meal costs and drove away)

My cousin set me up with this girl when I was a teenager...I thought she would drive me MAD. She'd call me 10 times a day, she came round all the time...I didn't like her and tried to be nice about it but she didn't take the hint. I thought I was going to need to go into the Witness Protection programme to escape her LOL!

I don't even know what state it was in...somewhere along the Alabama/Georgia line. I thought I knew country and Southern. No...I wasn't even close. As soon as I found the place I knew it was a disaster, but darn if she wasn't sitting there on the front porch waiting for me.

    Here's the one I missed....

LOL! Actually, she was quite scrawny. Her house was clean because there was nothing in it. I just couldn't get over how it seemed I had slipped through some kind of a time warp. My car was the only late model vehicle around. By this time in my life I had traveled overseas and had a college degree...we were world's apart. Best of intentions, worst of outcomes.

Yes, it was her sister who set us up. The way she put it, we were a match made in heaven. I had such trust in the sister, it never occurred to me how far apart we were...or that she could so misjudge me.

I don't mean to suggest I'm a player or some kind of Casanova--I'm not like that...but I was used to dating the more cosmopolitan types my age or younger. And who at least knew where Atlanta was.

I was about 30 or 31 at the time. She must have been between 40 and 45. Age was not the problem though. It just exacerbated the problem.

They were somewhat alike, it's just that I knew them in wholly different contexts. And I could've asked a few pointed questions. I was a trusting idiot who wanted married.

What's really bad is that because of this date, I can say I know what it's like South of Waffle House.
