I openly admit to drinking small doses of rompope during Christmas time due to cultural traditions, but I don't drink in my everyday life. It's not just because it's illegal or because alcohol is bad for me. It's also because I find the taste of alcohol kind of nasty to begin with.

Technically I haven't. I have taken small sips of different things, but everything tastes far too disgusting for me to even consider slightly liking.

I was a typical teen. If my parents told me not to do something I usually did anyway.

My first drink was when I was about 12. I took a beer out of the refrigerator took it into my bedroom and drank the whole thing in about two minutes. Went back for two more and went to bed. (I hid the bottles in the waste basket at the bottom of the trash)

The next morning I ended up with two problems. A really nasty headache and a father that was pissed off because that was to go with him FISHING! that morning. OPPSSS!!

I've only had the wine at church twice (which doesn't count anyway).

Other than that I had literally one sip of champagne for a toast at my sister's wedding the day after I turned 14. That's all I've ever had. It was only one sip and it was almost 3.5 years ago so I barely remember what it tastes like. I more so remember my reaction than the taste.

So, no. I definitely don't drink. I'm curious though. And I wonder why/how people like beer [so much]. Beer smells so disgusting to me. Maybe it tastes better than it smells??? Blah.

I have only a year and a half till college/university, so a lot of temptation will be presented to me (and all around me) soon enough.

Only a sip from an open, warm can of beer. Until I was of age and drank again from a can of cold beer, I thought someone had peed in that first can. Some lessons aren't forgotten.

I had a sip of beer when I was 12 or 13, but I don't consider that "drinking."

Only a little. Since I was dating older guys when I was 18, and the legal drinking age is 19 where I live, I did start having wine with dinner on a date when I was 18.

Yes, just like everyone else in the USA. But I've never abused it and never plan to. This is one of the reasons I think the legal drinking age is silly. Age is not an accurate predictor of responsibility with alcohol. I've known plenty of people over 21 who have ruined their lives with it.

Yes. My parents allowed One glass of red wine when I was 13 on occasions at home when wine was served. Three or 4 beers after a football game was common. In college not many people I knew did not drink.

Heck yeah. It was like...obligatory. My high school had an awesome print shop. By our sophomore year we all had full time jobs...according to our false ID anyway.

Today's ID cards are a bit more sophisticated though.

I would sure think so! Hate to hear our guys aren't able to relax with a beer when they're off-duty in these muslim places, though. Their religious restrictions shouldn't have anything to do with us.

I'm sorry to hear that. "Moderation in all things" as they say... that's why I have to pick my habits very carefully. Spent 20 years on drugs myself-- just lucky I grew out of it before it killed me.

I looked older than most 17 year olds, and would have gotten away with it if I hadn't bought a 6 pack to go at closing time. The charge was minor consumption.
