    my mom gives me strength and hope when i'm really, REALLY down
    (i go to her about once a year about my big problems, she just helps me to see things in a different light. All the other times i manage to get through problems myself.)

    Both yes and no, I've been in periods before where I have got a lot of support and found comfort in that... But lately that has not been the case, and I feel awfully lonely, and every day that passes I just fall deeper into depression.

    I have only felt really hopeless once or twice in my life, but each time someone, my hubby or my Mom was always there for me to help me cope, and rekindle my hope. And of course I did a lot of praying and received answers from God.

    My Grandfather spoke about it once or twice, to try never putting yourself in that position. I never felt more hopeless watching him die. He taught faith and hope alot.

    Yes and it comes from the most unexpected sources. One day I was having a really, I mean really bad morning. Nothing was going right, things in general were not going well either and I was despondent. Then I get on a bus and sit in the back. I met this African American man and we had the greatest conversation ever. Completely turned my thinking around and restored my faith in humanity. Sometimes all it takes are a couple of well placed words and the right person saying them.

    I went through quite a bit my freshman year in high school... the person that was supposed to be my best friend all but disappeared and I just had an awesome person to help me out. I think I will always remember our talks.
