I don't think so that Jesus got married. And as per the belief that he will come again to this world to complete his left over mission, he will get married then. Till that time, there is no authentic proof he ever got married. Being a Muslim, I believe Jesus was never married because God does not mention anything like this in His Final Book, the Quran.
If he did, she couldnt have seen much of him !! but she would have always had loaves and fishes in the pantry and wine in the house, so I dont think she would mind too much being married to the messiah .I talk to him frequently :)
THERE ARE OTHER ANCIENT WRITING REGARDS TO THIS QUESTION.. SOME GO BACK ALMOST TWO THOUSAND YEARS.. AND WOULD IT MAKE HIM ANY LESS CHRIST, AND OUR "LORD" IF HE WAS MARRIED.. HE WAS IN A HUMAN BODY.. RABBI'S DID GET MARRIED IN THE JEWISH RELIGIOUS EVEN BACK THEN.. AND MARY WAS REPORTED TO BE AN APOSTLE OF CHRIST. AND ALSO REPORTED TO BE THE VERY CLOSE TO HIM.. WHY NOT?
Edit: If this is in reference to the most recent news article, I would seriously question it. Very little of the narrative was released, not enough to make a wild guess.
The article said that it was very old. Well they had forgers back then too.
There was a great deal of turmoil at that time, which is never good for learning. Manuscripts were hidden with the intent that the author would come back for them but never did for one reason or another. It is possible that some real Gospels were hidden and not included with the Bible. When they surface a couple thousand years later, how can you verify their authenticity? You can't. Is it a conspiracy? No.
There were several great religious centers and all thought that they should be in charge. Rome, Constantinople, Antioch, Damascus, and Alexandria. There was no official set of beliefs until 325 and the Council of Nicaea where the Nicene Creed was agreed upon. But not everybody agreed once they left the conference.
Constantine the Great called the meeting to get the bishops to stop bickering and he told them "No one leaves until you reach an agreement". They had what they needed. I mean he didn't starve them.
Constantine did not influence the conference one way or the other and he had not converted to Christianity yet. He did not convert until his deathbed.
the Gnostic texts are Proving to be more and more reliable. There is a whole lot of knowledge organized religion and science cant answer when that happens the being must turn to spirituality and higher wisdom. the bible is a book of symbolism that very few can interpret and this planet is very old and has held many civilization
I'd like to think Mary Magdeline was his bride they were very close...some even say she had a child....but so many scriptures have changed and been destroyed to hide the truth...blame the vatican for that!!
I couldn't care less if Yeshua was married or not. The question is how does that affect his message? Christianity is a religion of faith. How does his marital status change that? For me it's splitting hairs.
I should have checked undecided. I'm just not sure. It would have been very unusual for a man living at that time not to marry his parents would have tried to find him a wife. I just heard today that a scroll has been found with a reference to the wife of Jesus. What would be wrong with Jesus having a wife?
Best believe of conscious creator earthly Jesus of course have followers just like diligent wife seekers do to find one way into best of place as human wife does but that does not guaranteed as original wife does from ancient papyrus or any sort of text to deny feeding sheep on holy cross.
A female, NO.
