Did anyone else notice that the Media bypassed thanksgiving?

I swear to god!!! It's not even thanksgiving yet and people are pulling for me to buy a freaking christmas tree!!! I go into borders today (That small room that is tecnically part of the store but isn't really) and I see two small fake trees (you can tell, cuz they were purple and pink) With a sign advertising their new peppermint mocha drink. They were also selling stuffed reindeer that look more like moose with lights on their antlers.
Did someone else notice this. . . bypass of thanksgiving? Am I going crazy? Did someone invent a time machine already that messed up the space-time continum so that there isn't a thanksgiving?
I NEED ANSWERS PEOPLE!!!!
(P.S. The Media didn't nessicarily bypass thanksgiving, the department stores did. So technically the question is: "Did anyone else notice that the department stores bypassed thanksgiving?")

I saw them this morning on the news, they're running a call center. I guess that that way, when they run viewers away they can just say that normal people don't watch the news.reply

Yeah, I used to live in a place where baseball was the most talked about sport, then I moved and now it's football. All those hours listening to my older brother explain the rules and the countless questions asking, "Whose winning? Who do we like?" all of them, useless now.reply

What I hate about it is that it seemed like no one noticed. I walk into a borders and I see someone buying a moose/reindeer-stuffed animal. I just wanted to slap them upside the back of the head.reply
