For the debut issue of TWELV magazine, designers Hissa Igarashi and Sayuri Marakumi created a couture gown entirely out of 50,000 gummy bears. It took 3 weeks to make and weighs approximately 220 pounds. This gummy masterpiece pays homage to late designer Alexander McQueen, who crafted a similar gown -- though, not made of candy -- in his S/S 2008 collection. What do you think of the candy couture version? Is it tasty or terrible?

1) Sweat and gummy bears do not mix well. 2) I'm all for how well you can move around in an outfit, and 220 pounds is kind of a deal breaker. 3) It was such a creative use of materials, but the design itself was too simple for it to live up to its full potential.

It would be interesting to know how they treated the gummy bears to even do what they did. The arrangement of the colors are well thought out. It will get you noticed in a crowd.

Is the dress only for cool days? It would be interesting to see if a summer day in the sun would make the dress melt.
