Denver company has city award rescinded for bucking Obama health law

The Newland family didn’t spend 50 years building a business here for the plaudits, but when a Denver City Council member moved to recognize them with an anniversary proclamation, the clan was flattered. So it came as a disappointment last week when the Newlands learned that the council decided to cancel the honor, especially when they found out the reason: Their successful legal challenge against the Obama health care reform’s birth control, sterilization and abortion mandates.

Those City Council members that objected should have their names plastered all over the place as ones to be voted out of Office next election. See how they like losing because of what they believe in.

Denver city counsel is made up of mostly extreme liberal losers. They've challenge the supreme court ruling on the second amendment as well as our own Governors stance on the same issue.State laws supersede city laws but they've decided to make stupid fools of themselves mostly because there are allot of very wealthy left wing nut jobs who pay the counsel under the table in back ally's and through special donations to obstruct the law. They too will be granted their just rewards some day for going against the grain. The Governor of Colorado is considering not implementing Obama's health smell bill in Colorado as well and he's a Liberal. Go figure the bill is way to expensive and does very little to stem the high costs of healthcare to anyone it's mearly a means to inject more money into our already huge federal government, I opt out.

It's a tax......until November! Shame on you....I thought you were opposed to ABORTION which is murder......and MY Catholic church has a stance on birth control and sterilization..........have you heard of it?

Guess Sister Jean has allowed herself to be swayed by a wolf in sheep's clothing...Forgeting who the New Testament was about- and it wasn't about Obama. P.S. there are many HORRIBLE things that once were laws.

Yes Janet.....but I have suspected for a LONG time that FAUX-SISTA is a devil in a nun's habit.....and have called her out a few times......She never writes more than a two or three word answer......and is always hovering in the shadows. I grew up with DOMINICANS.......this little sista doesn't impact me....

Clearly someone who claims to follow their religion, but apparently makes up whatever they want. I guess not too much different from priests that abuse the trust of people based on their own physical desires...justifying it as if the New Testament was "suggested reading".
