Demi Moore in New Ad Campaign: Over-Airbrushed or Beautiful?

She kind of reminds me of the actress for Lisbeth in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo maybe it's the hair...

She looks young and gaunt. Certainly this photo does not look like the Demi we are use to seeing, but I believe it is common practice to do this .

Glamour photographs are always enhanced to make the person look good, if not idealized, especially those used for advertising. In this case they were too heavy handed which has brought unwanted attention to the image and the craft over the intend product.

Out of the three photos for the campaign I think the first one is the best even if it's over done. She looks great with hazel eyes. I don't like the pic posted in this "question" she looks weird to me with that pose.

it doesn't really matter, its not like everyone in magazines aren't airbrushed, so again I say it really doesn't matter

oooh but they did do a crap job on her eyeballs >.< if you look closely the eye on the left side of the picture is more hazel, and the eye on the right side is a more light green color.

That may be your opinion, that it is the play of light and shadow, but I do not think so. The light is coming from directly in front of her, showing the face more clearly. It is straight on, so obviously it is not a play of light and shadow. You can tell because her cheek bones have the same amount of shading on either side as well the shadows from her arms on her chest. Because of this, the light shining in her eyes would be coming from the same point, which in turn, means that the iris' should have equal light exposure. While I will admit, close up on Demi's face do revel that the hazel eye I mentioned previously has more brown then the other, but the left eye in the picture is more green then her true eye color. It is a crap eye color job, deal with it sweetheart :3 <3

Oh lordy. If you had eyes, you would be able to tell the difference. Her eyes in the picture I added are still HAZEL. In the photo above, one eye is hazel, the other is green. It doesn't look right compared to the real thing. It even said they did changed her eye color. My opinion is that the editors did a bad job on the eyes, you can't change my opinion, just as I cannot change yours. And saying they look the same has nothing to do with your initial argument. You claimed at first that is was light and shadow, which I pointed out as being false because the lights point of origin did not support the shadows, and that also truly one of Demi's iris' are more hazel then the other, but they still did a bad job at the editing. Your argument is boring me with its lack of support to back it up. I hate fighting with people so I am ending this here before I end up losing control over a stupid argument over a picture. I think she looks great, her eyes are just striking. I can't see why people are still bitching over airbrushing. Photos in magazines and ads, especially of celebrities have been airbrushed for years, ever since airbrushing has been possible. Who wants to look at ads of the beautiful and famous with scars and acne and wrinkles, etc. It's not a new thing. Get over it already. If someday I was ever going to be in an ad or magazine, airbrush away !! Make me look flawless, please, lol !

She looks completely different! I honestly would never have realised that the advert was demi-moore! Forget the plastic skin, she has completely different eyes, different shaped face and what's with the height of her ears?

We all know she doesn't look that perfect. We have all seen her wrinkles and imperfections but that is what made her beautiful. They made her look younger then what she really looks, a little too young. I don't see why celebrities need to be airbrushed they should do a campaign and take pictures of celebrities with no make up on and be role models for young girls to show that your beautiful the way you are and that you don't need to look like a barbie. I'm not saying girls shouldn't wear make up I'm just saying that I think that girls should wear less make up so girls younger then me look like they are 18 or 19 years old when they are like 14. I am 17 so you do the math lol If magazines didn't airbrush everyone that was on the cover little girls would never get the idea to try to dress older and date older boys and wear way too much makeup, also their parents should do something about it but a lot of them don't.

She does not look real. Plastic-like skin is not beautiful- I'm sure that her natural complexion is fine without all of the excessive shooping. This photo literally makes her look like a statue- and the pose she's making doesn't help one bit. I like to see a natural face- with minimal makeup, because it seems very fresh.

What's wrong with her resembling her true age? She is 49. Our culture's obsession with youth sickens me. Middle aged and older ladies are beautiful- and they don't need so much photoshop! I understand the need to eliminate a few blemishes, but these people take it too far!

She looks plastic in this photo. Instead of trying to boost her self-esteem by telling her she looks beautiful when her photos are airbrushed, why not tell her she's beautiful on her own, with no enhancements.
