Day 3 of being homeless and what I have learnt

The stigmata of being homeless is that of being sunburnt, one of fatigue, of anguish, of a worn out soul, one of wandering through urban deserts, in which other people notice a mile a way.
While living in the shelter, you are given 3 meals a day (mostly oatmeal, eggs, spaghetti, etc), one bath a day between a specific time, you have chores to do, you are locked out of the living quarters for a good portion of the day, you are mixed with people of all different backgrounds, there are cliques and loners, people are on edge a lot of the time, you suffer problems that you wouldn't normally suffer if you had money, and so forth.
I think if you rob a man of money, a lot of times they will start to behave like animals outside it's worldly protection. This is what I've been observing. You can see homeless people ostracized by society. There were some homeless in the shelter that used a tree in a park for shade: I guess someone didn't like them being there so they cut down the tree with a chain saw in the middle of the night. I thought it was vindictive, but I can also understand why people wouldn't want homeless people in a park for children by the playground. The night it happened, there was a disturbance before and police were called out on the homeless group.
Another thing that happened to me while being homeless was a guy in that group saw my fiancee and I in the park and said how he loved that I was reading the Bible out loud to my fiancee, talked about God for a bit, then said that they were his friends and asked if we were snitching on them. Obviously we aren't and we don't know anything to snitch on them about. This worried me because he had prison tats on his neck and so forth. Hopefully we aren't going to have problems.
Then last night, my fiancee had to deal with a lady that had a psychotic breakdown and started threatening rape and sodomy and murder against everyone in the dorm with them. She wasn't able to sleep so she is tired. The lady in question takes mental medications and appears to might have been kicked out of the shelter for good.
Our food stamps didn't come in yet, even after walking 5 miles to see if they were at the post office, so hopefully they will come in soon.
My fiancee was treated like a theft while I used a gas stations bathroom, which made my heart sink in faith in humanity. I use to buy products from them all of the time in the past, but not that we have no money we are treated like criminals... It was disheartening.
Living by faith is heart. You ask God for help, you have faith that He will. you endure the heat, thirst at times while walking, you try to find restrooms while you are away from the shelter to not be like animals, you don't always know what God's plan is when your life hinges on His mercy. It's a great testament to one's faith in God.
We are waiting for a transitional housing appointment which will allow us to be together in our own room, get free bus fair, and maybe have a kitchen to prepare our food from food stamps. It's going to be much better: I feel this from God upon my heart. We had an appointment but the guy called out sick, so we must endure for a little while more.
Although, I don't think the shelter is doing God's will and speaking with God's Word. I do think that they have good intentions.
Thanks for the concern: I really appreciate it.

Supposedly, homeless people can't keep a journal of the events of their life or comment to friends because they are trash? Taking 30 minutes out of the day to catalog your life so others may learn what it's like is petty?
How about i just ignore your unintelligent ass and be done with it?
Bye
I use the libraries internet to look for jobs and keep up with friends, as to catalog my life so I can look back upon it when I am out of the situation. Obviously, a homeless person are but trash to you and shouldn't be able to have a voice in the world or 30 minutes to talk with friends.
I'm hardly throwing a pity party, just speaking about what's going on, a conversation you need not be apart of any longer after you are blocked.
Bye
Post how things are going for you as you are able.
Take care,
Take care and God Bless :)
