A middle-class mom is being accused by wealthier moms in her daughter's play group, for bringing store-bought snacks.
Her daughter, Bella, has lots of fun with the other girls in the group. However, her mom, is having a real hard time with the other mothers. She states, "I sent some homemade cookies and store-bought veggies and dip for the snack last week, and apparently this was not up to snuff! The mothers said that my vegetables were clearly not homegrown and organic and that they could taste the pesticides and preservatives on them. They asked if I knew that ranch dip is high in cholesterol and saturated fat which leads to heart disease. I was in tears reading this email. Their assumption that I had no idea how to feed my daughter was so insulting."
Should Bella be kicked out of the playgroup for bringing non-organic snacks? Or, should Bella's mom get into gear with some organic snacks, even if they are outside her means?

While a food item may not be healthy, doesn't mean it's toxic, nor does it mean it will kill you, shoot, it might not even make you feel poorly.
If she wants her daughter to grow up well-adjusted, kind, and happy she should teach Bella that wealth does not equate to good morals and find her a less snobbish playgroup.
I do find this ridiculous, especially because no one was forcing the other children to eat the non-organic food. Also, not every non-organic product is filled with pesticides either.
Besides who appointed these other mom's as the local play group Nazi's?
If they still dump on here she should ask them if they know how to spell the words -- Law Suit
I have a feeling with this strictness over the rules, they just do not like this mom, though, for whatever reason.
Bahhaa, if I was going to give an actual opinion it wouldn't include the word whore.
I think it's sad that people are so careless about how they speak.
I am beneath you. It's always hard to tell on the internet.
