Blind dates can be a lot of fun if they have a nice seeing eye dog. Your date may not want to kiss you good night, but their dog always will.

all in all they almost always choose to leave the person after they see them if they are not what they look for attractive wise no matter what connection they had in the dark

I agree with Lil' Hippie because that darkness can play tricks on people and can help them but, if they know how to use the darkness to there advantage they may be on to something oh and i'm not Goth, Emo, Or punk

Aweful idea. Always someone disappointed and the other one hurt (check out the movie "all about Steve...lol).
The best way to go is to ask someone on a date that you actually met. Way less surpises...lol
And if you still wanna try the blind date, go during lunch on a week day. Like this, if the date is bad, you have an excuse to leave and if it is good something to look forward too :)

While I applaud it's unique approach, part of finding someone attractive is physical no matter how much people want to seem non-superficial and say that the only thing that matters is what's on the inside. It's a load of crap. I would never do this. Confidence is also attractive...and if the person I'm going out with is too self-conscious to simply have the lights on they're definitely not the one for me!

It's really a combination of the first to statements. Yes it does make it easier for those not so confident in thier looks and their more likely to participate. However getting to know each other before looks plays a part is a huge factor. We all are attracted to the way certain people look but looks are only skin deep. When we get a chance to talk without that distraction we find out a lot more about that person before we make that snap judgement. This is why the Internet works as well as it does.

This is a rather unique approach however.

It may help those who lack self confidence, but I think you're taking a big chance not knowing what you'll end up with!! Haha

I think this is an interesting approach to dating. We've tried internet dating, blind dates, matchmakers - why not this?? A little unconventional, sure. But don't knock it until you try it.
