Dakota Fanning is one of Hollywood's fresh-faced beauties, even when she's not wearing any makeup. The "Twilight" actress was photographed at New York’s John F. Kennedy airport sans lipstick, blush and eyeliner -- and she still looked pretty cute. In fact, 18-year-old Dakota looked so "normal" and glam-free in her damp hair and pink sweater (carrying her own luggage!) that you might not even realize she was famous.

Dakota has caused her fair share of controversy in recent months. Her Marc Jacobs perfume ad was banned in the U.K. for "sexualizing a child" (she was 17 at the time), and then she appeared on the cover of Cosmo right beside headlines about sex. Up next, not only does Fanning have "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" in the works, she'll also play a terminally ill teenager who wants to lose her virginity in "Now Is Good." Hey ... she's 18 now. Do you think she's prettier with or without makeup?

I promise to not answer this with shouting and cussing at th parents. Ok, I'll try to do it as the question has been asked.
Even a child should have a very light dusting of make up to cut glare foff nose. I used to against this, but decided that if the child had a feek fir thius then fine, Otherwise fon'y force it.

When you say with make up does that mean alot of makeup or slight makeup because the only thing she should use if she wants to ware makeup is base and some loose powder. I do the same thing sometimes to hid some red spots and some freckals.

It is true that makeup is meant to make people look prettier no matter how much you already are. So anybody would actually look better with makeup.

Miss Dakota Fanning Has a natrual beauty. I've seen her in real life, and the photos and movies do not do her justice. They hide the true beauty she is. Very few women has this kind of look, so when you hide it behind makeup, you never get the true beauty that is under it all. Dakota Fanning will always have this kind of beauty, that will only become more elegent as she ages.

Dakota Fanning is young and beautiful period. She looks wonderful with or without makeup. Most women look better with makeup but when you're as young as Dakota, you don't need it.

This is sort of a bad question. Makeup is supposed to make you look better. It only makes you look worse when you put on too much, or use the wrong colors. That being said, she is beautiful without makeup. So are many other women. No one looks perfect all the time, not even celebrities. Let it go, already.

Everyone can look better with makeup. I think the point with this is she looks good even without the makeup. She is a beautiful young girl and doesn't need to do anything more than just be her. She is also very talented.

Well, I'm not sure, actually. Makeup is supposed to enhance your natural beauty, and Fanning is definitely a natural beauty, so if her makeup is done correctly, she should be prettier. But I chose "without" because makeup tends to be overdone.

I prefer the natural look. But I've noticed how women who regularly wear makeup look terrible after they take it off. What's up with that? It's more than just paleness and redness from rubbing and poking at their faces. I think makeup companies add chemicals that discolor your bare face, making it look worse in order to convince you that you need to keep using makeup? I'm convinced that if women just stop using makeup, their bare faces will start looking much better.

What I've noticed is that women like that who look "bad" without it wear too much of it to begin with. If they toned it down, then there wouldn't be such a marked difference. I'll wear eye makeup, lipstick and just a touch of powder and that's really all I need. I've been told I look nice without "overdoing it". That's from men and women. Makes me feel good! And, it all depends on the type of makeup worn. The cheaper it is, the more likely the makeup will cause skin problems and sometimes allergic reactions/and or break outs.

Every woman looks nicer with makeup. She is a pretty young gal she doesnt need a boatload of makeup . I remember my father sent me to John Robert Powers Modeling School and they taught us how to apply make up . I was 18 and they were gobbing on this cake stuff and it was horrible. Needless to sday I have not worn that much makeup ever again!

She IS pretty either way, but just a little goes a long way! (my mom always said the best makeup jobs look like you aren't wearing any!)

I applaud her traveling like a NORMAL human being by using commercial airlines instead of killing the planet somevmorevwith a private jet! Even more applause for handling her OWN luggage!

Sadly not true. I rarely ever wear makeup. I can't be bothered with painting my face just so society accepts me I definitely get more attention when wearing it. I just don't care.
