Research suggests that circumcision can cut risk of penile and prostate cancers in men, as well as cervical cancer risk in their female partners. Circumcision, for those who are unaware, removes the foreskin at the end of the penis, which would otherwise potentially serve as a haven for bacteria and viruses that can cause diseases including HIV, herpes, genital warts, bacterial infections and urinary tract infections.
In a paper in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, "a team of health economists and disease experts at Johns Hopkins cite the declining rates of U.S. infant male circumcision -- from 79 percent in the 1970s to approximately 55 percent today -- as responsible for billions of dollars spent in the U.S. on preventable infections."
Research says that the decline in circumcision has already cost the nation an estimated $2 billion. If the rates decrease to the 10 percent levels seen in Europe, "this could mean an additional $4.4 billion for the nation." According to ABC News, "the cost of treating sexually transmitted infections in both males and females that could be prevented with circumcision accounts for most of this total."

First, the study mentioned is but one, the results of which are summarily tossed out the proverbial window when one looks at dozens of far more impartial studies!
Secondly, I went through it in my late 20's after yrs of having lots of sex, and have had lots since, so I'm fairly well qualified to state that if people had even a remote idea of what sex feels like after circumcision compared to before, it would be gone by 6am tomorrow morning! Period! What it feels like is not even close to what it feels like before.
The problem as that it is usually done to infants, thereby safely (and mercifully!) removing any possible frame of reference. Yes, the human brain is plastic enough to adapt, deal with that loss and go on, but how sad is it that circumcised men will never have ANY idea of what it felt like had their bodies been left as they were at birth, and that the women they are with know that they can never be physically enjoyed as much either?... I hope sad enough to cause people to think before subjecting their babies to such a loss!
They all said the same thing:
"Don't buy the hype or scare tactics." and NONE of them recommended it except in cases where there was a congenital issue, and even then only minimal corrective surgery.
*sigh* well, life goes on i guess.
plus, circumcisions are healthier and when you're older you probably won't remember a thing of it happening.
"Mutilation" he says, go do your research.
I, for one, never thought of it in this sick way. Surprising you went that far. Anyways, I think nobody has "won" this argument; I still have my opinion and you still have yours. You make this seem like SUCH a DIRTY thing which is weird since Doctors may sometimes operate "down there" for people who need to be operated on "down there" every now and then. You know, health issues. Why are you making a twisted big deal out of it?
It is, whether you like it or not, more sanitary.
It happens in the hospital with doctors, AKA professionals in the human anatomy, including the pubic region.
Finally, you shouldn't go mouthing off about the honour of an entire religious population (it's really very rude and significantly highlights your ignorance); Because whether you get around to doing your research or not, it is a MUST for Muslims because it is a must in Islam.
P.S. I don't read comics. What the heck made you think that?
