Creationists working hard to make lies seem more believable.

New Creation Research Journal
Published by Steven Novella under History of Science/Medicine, Creationism/ID

The man who brought us the creation museum in Kentucky, the leader of the Answers in Genesis propaganda ministry, young-earth creationists Ken Ham has started a new peer-reviewed journal, the Answers Research Journal (ARJ). This development, to any scientifically literate thinking person, is a travesty. But let me explain exactly why and what, if anything, can be done about it.

"The problem with peer-review, of course, is that it is only as good as the peers doing the reviewing." Here is just one point that I can agree on in the article. Whenever you have like minded peers reviewing journals of the same is the real problem. If everyone is inside the box then how in the world can you start thinking outside the box. Whenever a creationist submits a journal to the scientific community then it's not even looked at. They (scientists) continually and dogmatically leave their intelligent heads in the sand and stick to a theory that was dead 100 years ago. Creationists are just saying, since you can't find the answers within science then maybe it's not there. LOOK ELSEWHERE

Be careful with Korinthian, the last time this subject came he got upset with me. He said then he would never talk to me again so far he has lived up to his words.

I know what you mean. I really wish they could understand that we don't hate them. Just pray for them. That's about all we can do.

I have committed them all to my prayers, what they do not know is God answers those prayers to serve his will. The results of our prayers maybe the means by which their hearts maybe harden, to serve His purpose.

Very true. I was just doing a study on that with Ken. Good insight.

That's some God you've got there "You'll bow whether you like it or not, whether you respect me or not, and if I don't like your attitude, you burn for eternity', yep, there's something I want a part of.

It would be thinking outside the box for scientists who are dedicated to their losing evolution proposal. How long will they beat a dead horse before they let it lie. If you think that science is the ONLY answer to all of creationt then you are sitting on that dead horse. There are way too many unanswered questions regarding the present theory and it doesn't appear that the answers are going to come from science. Science has the same problem that creationists have and that is they can't prove what happened millions of years ago. The fossil record can't do it, the strata can't do it. They even have to throw out some of their very scientific laws to continue on they same path they are on. Biogenesis, entropy, cause and effect and I could go on. Give me one example where a mutation has improved the genes in a species. Or where it has contributed to a new trait in a species. Good luck.

I'm sorry, I must have missed your answers to the requests at the bottom of my post. If they have been dealt with then it should be easy to find. Thanks

I don't really have a problem with science in general. I believe they have made grand strides in their different fields. I don't think that's true in ALL fields of science. See, I believe that all scientists are finding are things that were already there to begin with. All the laws of science didn't happen by themselves and scientists certainly didn't do any more than discover what was already laid out. Wonder where they came from???

That's a cop-out if I've ever seen one. If they have been handled SO WELL in other mediums maybe you could direct me to them.

I don't have to pretend any more than you do when it comes to answers for where they came from. Your best bet would be magic because if there is no intelligent designer then it all must have poofed into existence. This is exactly what I mean when it comes to thinking outside the box. The answer isn't in the box. Scientists will never find the answers so my theory is just as valid as theirs. Especially given that there are numerous questions that science can't answer. Even scientists have been known to say, "the more we learn and discover the more we don't know" That's not very eccouraging.

I actually read those posts by some armchair biologists and can honestly say that the information they do not have is vast. They completely miss some very basic principles.

I wouldn't even know where to start really...
