Courtney Love: Muppets 'Raped' Kurt Cobain

Jack Black responded Thursday toCourtney Love's claim that 'Muppets' filmmakers violated the memory of Kurt Cobain. Love had said using a Nirvana song in the movie constituted a "rape," and Black brushed aside her criticism by calling her statements "absurd, absurd, absurd."

    This is coming from the woman who sold her husband's image to Guitar Hero 5.

    If I'm not mistaken, since the Muppets' version was a parody of sorts, they don't require legal permission to use it in their movie under the "fair use" policy -- just as Weird Al doesn't require permission to write parodies of popular songs, even though he asks anyway because he's a decent guy like that.
