Court fines man for beheading wax Hitler

- A German court fined an unemployed man 900 euros ($1,227) Tuesday for knocking the head off a waxwork figure of Adolf Hitler in a Berlin museum.

Minutes after the Madame Tussauds museum opened in the German capital in July, the 42-year-old pushed past security staff ripped off its head. The man, an ex-policeman, said he found it inappropriate to display an exhibit showing the Nazi leader only some 500 meters from Berlin's Holocaust memorial.

The waxwork of a glum-looking Hitler in a mock bunker stirred debate in Germany even before it went on display. Critics argued it was tasteless to display a replica of the man who unleashed World War Two and ordered the extermination of Europe's Jews.

Madame Tussauds said the museum avoided politics, arguing Hitler stood for a significant part of German history and his waxwork therefore had a legitimate part in the exhibition.

The restored figure was returned to the museum in September and is now displayed behind a glass wall.... Read full article »

Hitler, though evil and insane beyond all comprehension, is a huge part of German history. We tend to forget that Hitler wasn't as powerful as the media makes him seem. We forget that there were tens of thousands of Germans who were the Nazi Uniform and hated Hitler with every fiber in their body. Nazis who fought for Germany not the Furher. Hitler helped shaped Germany and the world. The world is what it is today because of WW2. We have the technology and military capabilites today because of Nazi Germany. We can never forget Hitler because if we do then we will allow him to rise again. History repeats itself. The more we study history, the more we can prepare our selves for when it repeats. By remembering Hitler and studying him, we can hopefully prevent another man from becoming as dangerous as he was.

What I mean is that Hitler was one of the most evil men to ever walk this Earth. He was a barbarian and a pysocpath on his best days. Yet, he was still human. He still had feelings and emotions as all humans do. He wasn't a souless god like being the media makes him out to be.

History is repeating itself already. Hitler is rising again.
Not only are we not preventing it, but many are actually encouraging it.
It is a sad time that we live in.

There are a lot of men in the world right now who could be reincarnated versions of Hitler. Could you please be more specific? Are you referring to Obama? Ahmadinehad? Putin? Chavez? All of the above?

Truthfully, too many Germans hide from their past. Nazi Germany was an ugly thing, and I fully understand that many Germans feel no pride in that they are of a nationality that rendered so much harm upon the world not even half a century ago. But the past is the past, and facts are facts. Deal with it.

What I don't get is why people and the media always focus on the negatives. People forget that Nazi Germany was responsible for a lot of good. The good, though greater in my opinoin, is constantly overshadowed by the evil.

Without WW2: Israel would more than likely not exist, European nations would more than likely still control Africa and Asia, without Hitler Stalin would have started the war and would have been the villian, it's possible that jet fighters and jets in general wouldn't be, there might not be ICBMS, rockets, NASA might not exist if it wasn't for the captured Nazi scientists we brought to America, the Volkswagen Beetle wouldn't exist, stealth bombers like the B2 (whose design orginated in Nazi Germany) wouldn't exist, long range bombers in general wouldn't be, without the Nazi's persecution of the Jews Einstein wouldn't have given America the atomic bomb thus making the nuclear age and nuclear energy itself possibly non-existant. We don't realize how much of America's military might and how much technology we take for granted on a daily basis came from Nazi Germany. It's becuase of the Nazi's that Europe has the peace and stability it does. The Nazis were the ones who discovered the link between smoking and lung cancer. There is so much that they have done for this world, but it's always overshadowed by the atrocities commited by Hitler and his S.S.

Not one man! all had a part.Hitler seemed to be against reserve banks[The notiion of international banks]From my studies. At the time it was jews that did all the banking,as he saw it.Right or wrong one needs to look at why hitler did what he did. This man cared for his country and did his best to keep it thriving. Most today only care about election money.

I agree killing people that had nothing to do with it was wrong.Worst part is they didn't care.Hittler killed millions to try to get back at a group that could have cared less.

Read this slowly - it is interesting, to say the least. Thought it worth sharing. Just something to think about.

I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women. I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer. Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate. I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non- traditional beliefs & didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny. I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them. That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career. I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child. I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40...

I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had a gold tongue and could talk to anyone and motivate them. That reinforced my conceit. I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks. I drew large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego. At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy, then on change. I was very critical of my country in the war and seized every opportunity to bash my country. But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy and the need for change. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free. I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate these institutions and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight. I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to people. I was the surprise candidate. I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support. I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope,' together we could change our country. So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities". My true views were not widely known & I kept them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader. I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I'm glad they didn't as I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth. Who am I? ADOLF HITLER WHO WERE YOU THINKING OF OBAMA glad powerful world world learned truth adolf hitler thinking obama
