In 2007, Mitt Romney said he wanted to ban as much porn as possible. “Computer pornography has given new meaning to the words ‘home invasion,’” Romney said at a 2007 Values Voter summit, “If I am President, I will work to make sure that every computer sold into the home has an easy to engage pornography filter so that every parent can protect their child from unwanted filth.”

A 2007 video of Romney promising to place porn filters on every new computer can be viewed below. Do you think Mitt Romney can ban porn? Or at least make it a lot more harder to watch than it is now?

O'Mitt wanting to liquidate the one industry that survived this financial down fall. Really not surprised he made his millions off closing American Industry so he can make the same stuff cheaper over sea's. Only when parents are neglible in their 'follow through' - my child was worth my diligent policing of his Internet surfing. And he never saw it at our home. Plus after he reached puberty, his Dad put a porno filter on it.

One day, we as parents will have to answer for why we didn't love our child enough to safeguard him from that hellish smut. I refuse to stand before The Almighty and go, "Uh, . . . gee, you know, ummm, I'm sorry I didn't do better."

First, that was 5 years ago. I HOPE he's got his priorities better planned now that he's a REAL potential candidate.

I don't like porn either, but I like our Trillion-Dollar debt a lot less.

Second, how about functioning in the real world, Mitt? As President, you might need to know how to do that.

IF and WHEN he returns the US to its former status as the pre-eminent power in the WORLD, then he's welcome to use his free time for "other" things. Banning porn is definitely an "other" thing as far as I'm concerned.

But the laws should be a lot tougher for when these perverts come out of some Porn Movie and attack the first women or child they see. If an adult wants to watch a two dimensional movie or a picture to get their jollies off, that is their problem no one wants them. But when they rape some poor little girl, or boy or someone's wife that is where the line must be placed with very harsh punishments..rape a child life no parole (or they can chose death instead of life in a hard prison). You want to become an animal and lower your morals to that of a dog then you pay the price.

My son uses the internet for research. I have the best filter on it from an IT guy. I do not have to "get over" anything! I do not care what Adults watch in the privacy of their home, even porn...BUT there needs to be more help from the FCC for access to Adult sites. Period. Don't be such an a$$. 3 year olds can access Adult Material, it's not secure.

Thanks for being different Singerar, really! I'm glad that you care about the minor's mental health. Some images are so graphic it could affect a child's mind to the point of some adverse reaction, maybe for the rest of their life.

I don't believe the guy will do what he says. It makes perfect sense if we're going to return to the time and age Romney wants to get us to. Hey, after all, we still have an abundance of teenage pregnancies(sp?) and the world population is in the 7 billions, so hard porn and contraceptives don't make sense. We didn't have it 50 years ago so we don't need it now. I hope he means what he says. But he usually flops just after he flips.
