The only reason corsets went out was predominantly because of loss of materials due to the war. So of course, make them mainstream again! The basic underwear all women have - just like the old days. =)

Corset's caused severe an debilitating spinal disorder's, damaged the spinal cord.......like head binding in other countries an culture's as well as in the east - foot binding -which was to make a woman's feet very small - that cripples women -because of the terrible damage it does to the bones an tendon's of the foot!

The oldschool ones? Well, they're pretty damn misogynistic, painful, and severely limit what a woman who is wearing one can actually do. So Right-wingers would certainly love it.

But I digress. If you're talking about more modern, body-friendly ones, those ones never really left, even if the bastardized versions that one wears as a top are most prevalent.

There are people who do wear them already, Bras are also a throwback to corsets. Personally, I wouldn't wear one, but that's just me...I like to be comfortable.

They are still worn. You also see them on people but are made in a more modern and comfortable way. I don't know many who would go back to having their internal organs mushed around and constricted by a corset so they can have a smaller waist though.
