Tip Copy Error Messages to the
Clipboard

(Works
with all Windows versions)

Instead of
re-typing long, confusing error messages whenever you are trying to google a
solution, you can simply use Ctrl+C to copy the text of the message to the
clipboard.

To test this out for yourself, open Windows Explorer and type
an incorrect drive letter into the address bar (such as W: if you don't have a
drive called W:), and you'll get an error message box telling you the drive
doesn't exist. Now hit Ctrl+C, load up Notepad, and then you can paste it there
(hit ctrl-v to paste) or anywhere else you'd like - an email message, Microsoft
Word, and so on.
