Condom delivery: Do you need an app for that?

Durex may have a solution for those who feel awkward buying condoms, and it's simple as ordering a pizza. The British condom maker has launched an app for Apple devices called SOS Condoms that lets consumers order condoms and have them "discreetly" hand-delivered immediately. "Get condoms whether it's day or night in less than one hour," the app's start screen reads.

For now, the service is only available in Dubai, but Durex is taking a poll to see where it should roll out the service next. For the U.S., Los Angeles, Boston and New York City have all received votes, but according to a diagram on the SOS Condoms website, it appears Paris has the most votes -- although the app's developer could not confirm that.

If you're too embarrassed to buy a condom or (for women) birth control, you're not responsible enough to take that step.

I hit yes on accident... again. I believe that contraception is wrong because it makes lust okay, it gives many a mind set that they can have sex with whoever and whenever they want, and they receive no repercussions for there actions, there is no consequence for their lustful impulses.

The best contraception is not having sex at all.

Condoms prevent life. God said multiply. God did not say put a jacket on your penis when you have sex. The life being like Jesus is will obtain a gift beyond our mind to comprehend.

Be a real man (or woman) and just go buy them. Want to have sex? Better use protection and better be prepared.

Lol. It's just a condom.Better be buying condoms than help do pregnancy tests later.

If you're so shy that you can't buy a condom, then don't do it, you'll be too shy to do anything else

    -_-

while there is an app for almost everything i don't think we need an app for condom delivery. while it is a good idea for safe sex and first timers it just sounds like they are trying to get more people to buy there products and be the leading man.

...AT THIS POINT IN HISTORY YOU'D THINK NOT, BUT I GUESS "SHY" PEOPLE MIGHT STILL HAVE THE NEED TO BE DISCREET. (..OR ARE THEY JUST TOO INVOLVED TO INTERRUPT FOREPLAY, ...OR ARE THESE "CONSUMERS" TOO LAZY TO GET UP AND GO TO THE STORE FOR IMMEDIATE NEEDS, OR IS IT SIMPLY AFTER HOURS AND THEY'RE UNPREPARED/UNSUSPECTING LOVERS?) ..ANYWAY, I'M ALL FOR FOLKS USUNG CONDOMS AND NOT PRODUCING UNWANTED BABIES.

then it might not be too rediculous.

just like pizza delivery. you COULD go to the store, but you probably have more enjoyable activities going on, so you are willing to pay a little extra for someone to deliver.

If they can deliver to a bar in front of my buddies, great.
Or if I am on a first date with a lovely woman,, great.

    What's the problem?

Seriously, the above are joke situations.
Are Durex trying to be another emergency service (fire, police, ambulance, coast guard, ) and D'OH condom.

There's just something not quite right with this whole idea. I think it encourages spontaneity in some situations where there should restraint. We also have to remember that condoms aren't fail proof.
