A California High School cheerleader coach has lost her job for appearing on Playboy as Carlie Christine. The photos show he modeling and posing nude in some of the gallery. Beck said she was up front and honest about her modeling past and that she appeared in the pictures before she started coaching at the school. Friends, Teachers, and Students say that Carlie Beck was an excellent coach and shouldn't be fired over her modeling history.

As you can see, it wasn't porn. She was slightly naked in some of the pics but that was it.

First off, we should be so lucky that the kids are only looking at something as tame as Playboy in Highschool. I know the christians will probably disagree with me but most kids are exposed to far worse than some mild nude pictures in Highschool. She's a cheerleader coach so it's not like those girls are out buying Playboy. Not only that but if the parents are worried about it maybe they should be more concerned with all the leg and butt their daughters show in those cheerleader outfits, a huge fantasy in the sex industry, the cheerleader. The school should butt out as she did nothing wrong at her job and didn't commit a crime.

She says she was honest about it during her hiring interviews. She has the respect of fellow teachers. This event happened before becoming "coach".
Any parents worried about it, should pull their daughters off the cheerleading squad and rethink the "message" that is being sent as their daughters are "shaken their bacon and bits" in those very skimpy outfits live in front of hormonal teenage boys.

As far as I'm concerned, I could care less what the woman does on the side. However...

If she has a contract with her school that says that has a clause in it that addresses this specifically, then yes she should. Ballplayers have them, and they are fired becaue they have broken the rules. I think you should read what you are getting into, before you get into it. IF she didn't have a clause in her contract, she should sue the shit out of them for firing her....

Just my opinion but if she was completely up front about the photos before she was hired then she should not have been fired. Her judgement should not be in questioned regarding working as a coach but those who hired her knowing about the photos should be questioned until the cows come home.

I have a daughter and that sends the wrong message to young women. People send their children to school for a reason. What she has done dishonors her profession and fosters an environment that is not conducive to the pursuit of knowledge.

Frankly, I want my daughter to learn that she should trade on her wits...and not her tits.

It's 2009. Even in the lower edge of the Bible belt, here in Jacksonville, Florida, we've had teachers who have posed in Playboy and other magazines without being fired. That's ridiculous.

If she was doing a good job in her position at the school then that's all they should focus on. What people have done in the past (provided it's, you know, legal) is none of their business. Even if people have committed crimes, if they've been held accountable by the law then that should be enough.

The photo shoot has nothing to do with being a Coach Or a Role Model. If parents are worried about their kids then don’t bring porn in the house to share with them. How would any of the kids even know she posed without these fine parents looking at it in the 1st place and then acting appalled when the person in the magazine is their child’s coach! just goes to show you how hypocratically & vendictive parents can be. I have a young beauty queen myself and I would like to think that given the same situation I would ask myself "be vendictive and my daughter can sleep?" or "be morally and ethically correct and I can sleep?" after all the pictures were taken before her hiring and the girl got kicked off because of a rules violation (unexcused absence)I choose to sleep. If I know teenage girls like I think I do then I am this girl will be harrarrassed until the day she either graduates, transfers or quits that school.

It's stupid because the picture they found she had a bikini on. Who doesn't really wear one? EVERYONE HELLO!!!!! thats the only one they found because she was in a bikini. The schooling system has a requirement to protect it's students and this is what they will use to justify their choice to part ways with this woman. She's gone either way, but there is no sense in punishing someone for something you already knew about, whatever reason you are given. Schools have a responsibility to protect their students, if this woman puts herself in a position where dangerous people can seek her out, maybe stalk her because of her body, maybe at the school where she is coaching other beautiful girls, then all of these students may be at risk of danger. If she chooses to put her body of display, she probably would do better $$$ wise to pursue that course of employment. These woman take on a certain amount of danger when they use their bodies to make cash, they shouldn't put innocent girls at risk of the danger that comes with this
choice.

When you go to work for a school system you have to fill out ( and READ) alot of paperwork. Part of that paperwork contains a Morality Clause. IF she was upfront about the type of photoes she allowed to be taken, it was noted in her paperwork and they hired her despite the playboy issue then they had no grounds to later fire her. If she represented herself as a former "model" and did not specify that is was nude or semi-nude modeling then it is a violation of her Morality Clause and they had every right to fire her. If she doesn't like a morality clause she can go coach (and make more money doing so) at a cheerleading school or gym. There are millions all over the country.

I didn't say it was morally wrong, but the "Morality Clause" exists so that schools are able to fire teachers, coaches, administration, etc for anything that the other employees, teachers, administration, parents, or schoolboard feel or believe to be morally objectionable. Nudity is generally considered by society to be morally objectionable, except in cases of art such as greek statues. The frame of mind that prevents porn stars from teaching kindergarten is the same frame of mind that got her fired. You can't allow one and not the other because "Morality Clauses" do not deal with degrees of a situation, they are pretty black and white.

playboy is a form of art.

this is a major problem in our society to think nudity is wrong or shameful because it isn't. and it really isn't fair to leave it up to the feelings of others because some people get offened over the smallest things.

and while we are on the topic, what is wrong with porn stars teaching children? if they are not discussing their adult activities or engaging the children in the adult activities. to me that is the same as a teacher who likes S&M type stuff or anything else that might be offensive on their personal time, they shouldn't be fired for doing things on their personal time as long as they don't bring it into the classroom.
