like evrything else in this country. Drinking...... driving.......having oral sex(not a lie)......and marriage.

I mean look at them. Kids are kids. Not dolls. They should be focused in playing, exploring in the yard, riding tricycles. Not worried about beauty. Besides, have you heard these award names?! Best Smile. Prettiest Girl. Now if a little girl didn't win these for instance now they think they have an ugly smile and a hideous face when you know they are as cute as buttons.
Child beauty pageants have also been proven that children have been more preoccupied with their beauty than education (hence getting lower grades than their potential allows) when they get older. Less than a quarter of them study in beauty school instead of graduate high school/ go to college. Most of those end up in what they think a modeling business and go nowhere. They usually quit and what can they do. Be a secretary? She would still need requirements that they don't have because they went to beauty school instead of college. And well the chain is inbreakable by then.

it's an interesting thought...maybe there should be rules and regulations about what is acceptable at pageants under a certain age. I don't think that little girls should be taking diet pills and caked in makeup top the point they look like teenage hookers. but then what's teh point of a pageant? waht if you lose a pageant? try to be more beautiful? if you don't win at a contest with something like acting, singing, dancing, sports, academics, or anything else that requires skill, you can always work to improve your skill. how can you be "more beautiful"? sure, you can primp for hours and look like you came out of a Hollywood studio, but real beauty comes from within.

especially and the red lipstick and blush. Makeup that is "child-friendly" causing them to have acne and enter puberty at a faster rate. It also, makes their skin dirty and more prone to bacteria because they are immune to the oils in the makeup.
