Respectfully, your facts are wrong; Chick Fil A never said that; it was a misunderstanding. Right after the Chicago newspaper printed it, CEO Dan Cathy denied the lies.

Unfortunately, we now know that Dan Cathy has stated Chick-Fil-A was doing no such thing.

Not really. Actually I doubt that the owner/president of the company really thought that his statements/position would get the kind of attention it did in the first place. I'd imagine that for him it was just an off-hand kind of thing to start with. It basicly just got blown way out of proportion as compared to his actual personal dedication on the subject and they are just trying to distance themselves from the whole thing and get out of the spotlight on this issue and just get back to selling chicken sandwiches.

Because there are no companies that have come out in support of gay marriage? Oh wait... I guess in a way you're right, everyone has just come out in support now that it's popular...

Still holding onto their beliefs but refusing to spread the seed of hate by donating to discriminatory groups. That's a great thing.

Anyone remember the story of the lesbian couple who invited the CEO to have dinner? Whatever came of that? I thought it was a classy move.

Clearly, this calls for a 'Liberal Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day'.

Since the original appreciation day was to support the freedom of speech and conscience of the Chick-Fil-A owners, now that said owners have again exercised their speech and conscience, I'm confident conservatives will join our freedom celebration in large numbers reminiscent of the ones that were had on August 1st.

I doubt that the CEO's biases against gay marriage are changed, but his discontinuing being vocal about it makes sense. It's counterproductive to term this as "victory", however. It makes the "other 98%" appear combative and childish.

All they said was that they will "treat every person with honor, dignity and respect-regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender." Which is what they always did and there is no mention of stopping their donations as far as I saw. And that's fine.

Actually they said they are reconsidering their charitable contributions and will not be donating to organizations with political agendas. Specifically mentioned was Focus on the Family.
