I don't see how they calmed down enough to kill it. If it were me, I'd be running all over yelling in excitement. In the end, nobody would believe me because it would have gotten away.

To the strange ones acting disgusted and dismayed at the "inhumanity" of this, would you want your family member or anyone for that matter bitten and killed by this creature? It may have been better to capture it for a zoo or something, if it would even survive in that environment, or if living coiled up in a glass container with faces pressed into peer at you would have been preferable to death, but in the real world this thing is a predator.

We had a 3-foot rattler in our Great Room just a few nights ago. Would have come in an open door the evening before and we didn't even know it at the time, even tho' we were watching TV in there. It's skin was preserved and the rest got a decent burial.
