Kim Kardashian stepped out in NYC Tuesday in a mustard yellow Stella McCartney peplum dress (I guess she hasn't started buying maternity clothes yet) and bloggers were reminded that Charlize Theron wore the same dress to a BAFTA Tea Party last January. Both ladies styled it with nude shoes and red lips, but who wore it better?

Women with big hips and a big butt should never wear anything with a peplum. It just draws attention to those areas and doesn't look flattering.

It's better to dress for your body type than try to fit into something that you "know" is not gonna work for you. If she truly insisted on that dress, she has enough dough to get it tailored to flatter her curves.

The one on Kim Kardashian looks like it needs to go to the drycleaners.

Even still, it looks better on Charlize Theron. It's flattering on someone with a smaller frame, not on someone with junk in the trunk.

The dress isn't very flattering on either one of them, but Kim looks fat. She's not fat, but, in that dress, she looks it. I know the whole laughable "real women have curves" crowd think it's taboo to say that a thinner woman looks better than a "curvy" woman, but, let's be honest, in this case, it's true. Charlize is a better looking woman with a better body.

This dress is not flattering on Kim at all. It makes her look much larger than she is...another dress type to avoid for the curvy types. Although, maybe Kim isn't the best barometer, I'll still have to try out the peplum and gauge for myself.

Charlize, looks lovely in this...I swear sticks get all the good clothes.
