Can you think out of the "bag?"

Jack's Pearl 2012/04/25 16:01:49
What are some great uses for shopping bags once we've got them home? Something creative? Can you think out of the box/bag? ;)

You!

I use them for packaging material, sitting under paint buckets, punch paint brush handle through the side and use to stop drips, isolating dirty clothes from work or the gym, wrapping around small plants during a frost, marking bush hook lines when fishing, making landscaping flags, splicing split branches till they heal, and more, that is all I can think of for now.

It all depends on what kind of bags you're talking about. Paper bags?: Twist em up and use 'em to start a fire in the fireplace. Plastic bags? Save 'em and re-use em. Take the
bags back to the store and re-use em.

Of course reusing plastic bags is great, but can you think of any other uses? :)

One of the professors I know teaches industrial plastics. So when I get enough to be irritating, I take them to his lab, look for the coolest molds, put them in solvent with a scoop or two of melamine and press the suckers into a new piece of thermoset artwork or maybe just a paperweight for my place.

bags are good for recycling...taking shredded paper out of the shredder for the compost bin...they are handy for re-using for garbage bags but when we had to come up with some quick grab bags....we simply used a plain brown bag filled with goodies for the recipients by just tying small ribbons to the handles....plain and simple

In this country we get charged for bags so at least with me they get used over and over again for shopping.
They are plastic and biodegradable and the roadside and countryside are now no longer littered with plastic bags.

I never thought of that for our kitty litter. Great idea! Although we have a great scooper. :)

My aunt makes large heavy duty shopping bags out of the plastic bags, she Macrames or knits them together. I would like to add that she sells these things for $10!
