yea ive worked in retail for a very long time & im able to spot a fake one pretty easily.. one easy way is to look @ the strip & if its real it will say something like us 100 or if its fake itll say us 20 but the rest of the bill will be a $100 bill or the face on the bill & the watermark don't match but people don't usually look @ those things

Yup. Back in the old days they use to take $5 bills, bleach the ink off of them then print $100 bills on the blank dollar paper. Used 5 dollar bills so when someone looked at it quick up to the light they would see the stripe in it. Make $95.00 off of every bill .... ☺

There's a strip of paper or something inside the real dollar. If you hold it up to the light, you can see it.

The older notes were harder to tell, the new notes are difficult to counterfeit because of the hologram and other things.

Oh yeah, I can now! I got one of those fake $100 bills printed on a $20. After that I know what to look for other than the regular "common" clues.

don't you have to hold real money up to the light, and it does something where you can see through it?

Most fake money you can feel ro see easily is fake...but you get almost perfect identical money that the only way you can find out is setting it on fire, it's the ink. The ink burns differently than those of real money.
