I am happy for you. But I will say for some people no matter how hard they try happiness doesn't come to them. I know this personally.

The mind remembers things funny...even if u werent happy at the moment but u werent truly miserable, later on you remember it as you being "happy". when u weren't.
I know i wasnt happy alll the time or even at all when i was on vacation last summer, but now i look back fondly and wish i was there...bc a stupid part of me belives that i was truly happy back then -eye roll-

But I like to think that in the times of my life that I cannot remember (parts of my childhood) that I was, even though given that I tend to 'block out' traumatic experiences, it's a more logical assumption that I was not.

You can make your own happiness, if you've a mind to. I'm not chippy-cheery all of the time, but I am blessed. I try to stay focused on the good things in my life. Sure, I slip and have a pity party every now and then...

One can be grateful without being happy. I don't pity myself (or my life), in fact I'm grateful that I even had the chance to live and given the choice I wouldn't change my past because I'm fond of the person that I've become, but I am not happy.

Although, I do have hope that that will change one day.

I haven't heard from my hubby into weeks (he’s out training military stuff) ,so when he called me last night, my heart melted with so much happiness...

Now and many times before. Only got one major thing to complete...find a small place, out of the big city and near the beach. For me and my luv...dog.
