Can you really be in love with someone you've never met?

Lets say you're in this great relationship for six months and you feel that you love the person with only problem is its a long distance relationship and you haven't met them face to face yet, are you really in love with them or the idea of it?

That is how I met my second wife. She was in New York, and, I was on Big Pine Key, Florida. I talked to her first when I lived in Philadelphia, in 1970. We met on Big Pine in 1972. We were married in 1973. We are still together.

It depends, but I believe you can yeah, I mean there's a lot of folks that start flirting on a online site and the next thing you know ....wallah)))! that stupid cupid strikes! and there you are not knowing if yerr coming or going then your mind wanders off to who knows where? ya start thinking more and more about that person on the other side of the screen where ever they may be!! and that person is making ya do funny things with out ya even realizing it and next thing you exchange numbers and personal or "private" emails and then finally meet and last but not least you both hold hands and walk off into the sunset and live miserably ever after.........aaha!! had ya going there for a min huh?

Yes

You already have the most important part of a relationship, which is the mental and emotional level. The physical level is important too, but I don't believe it's essential to be in love. That being said, I think it's wise to meet before you get too invested in the relationship just to make sure the other person isn't lying about anything important (like their gender or marital status!).
