Can you prove that people choose to be homosexual?

So many people like to make the claim that homosexuals choose to be that way, but all I see is rationalization of a few lines in the Bible in attempt to take the "blame" for homosexuality off of God, because God doesn't make mistakes and doesn't make homosexuals. So they assume that being gay is a choice because it must be a sin you choose. In other words, it is an argument out of convenience.
Yet I have never heard anyone prove that being gay is a choice. Can you prove that a homosexual made a choice when they claim they didn't? How is this done? What makes your claim more valid than theirs? If they say they didn't choose it, why do you assume they are lying and how can you prove they are lying? I am genuinely curious because all I see is a lot of empty words and no proof.

+4There is no proof. The 'proof' People have is the Bible and attention seeking people who pretend to be gay, then switch back. Neither of which that are in any way believeable.

On the other hand it has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the structure and pathways of the brain of homosexuals is indeed different.
It's funny to know that some heterosexuals think that homosexuals chose to be this way when it's not them. They judge and say from what they see, but what they see is not enough. One can only trust the judgment of those who have and are experiencing. I am a pansexual/skeliosexual girl who can say with complete certainty that one does not choose to be homosexual.
If we could, wouldn't you think we'd choose to be heterosexual? It's easier. One wouldn't have to go through the hate, the rejection, the isolation, the discrimination...
Many cultures see you and others like you as two souls people, and honor you for that. In some cultures you would be seen as a holy person.
Yes, it's either by heterosexuals or jealous exes.
People who think that are seriously stupid.
About the cultures, do you mean they "glorify" those who do those things to homosexuals?
If sexual orientation was really a choice, then straight people could choose to stop being attracted to the opposite sex and force themselves to be attracted to the same sex.
That's like saying we CHOOSE what foods we like and what colors we favor... really, we don't. Our bodies natural senses do, and sexual attraction is no different.
What we find appealing really isn't something we CHOOSE to find appealing, it's a course of nature.
I will however say some have forced themselves to choose - peer pressure from your own family expectations for example - but deep down they know what they like, and they still like it, it is only covered up and buried.
I will also say this world today can alter the perception of children and sexuality with the openness - when I was in high school, kids would change their sexuality more often than their underwear. It was ridiculous, and it was shameful to see kids treating sexual preference as if it were a fad.
Regardless, deep down, we know what we like and no one can change that - not even ourselves, really. We can attempt to, but as I said, it's only burying the truth. I.e.: If a gay man marries a woman to appease his family with high expectations, that doesn't change the fact that he is gay.
*SARCASM...no one chooses to be straight or gay,its just that religions have brainwashed the sheep that follow them to believe that its a choice....
