Can you handle a phone call for more than an hour ?

I really hate talking on the phone after a few minutes I am ready for the call to be over.

But I prefer not to. There has been a time or two lots needed being said but mostly I like to chat a bit then get on about my business, besides my neck gets sore holding the phone or my hand gets sore, I don't have nor want bluetooth.

Not really, I've got a friend a sister and my mother who like to talk on the phone way more than I do. I hate it when the phone rings on a Sunday evening because I know its gonna be one of them and I'll have to drop what I'm doing for the next hour and a half while catching up. Don't get me wrong I enjoy catching up with them but after thirty or so minutes it becomes tedious. If that makes me an @hole so be it.

Not generally. And by the way, I didn't check "yes." I checked "No." Rarely I can talk for that long if it's someone I really like and enjoy talking to and haven't talked with them in a longtime. Normally I'm just in my own world and don't have anything to talk to anyone about for that long.

If I'm on that long there better be some sexy talk going back and forth. That's one of the reasons why I like texting, you have to keep it short.

Only the ones I have to . . . The dreaded conference calls at work. There I am held hostage in a conference room with a Polycom. There's no nodding off either because assignments will be giving and you might get asked a question. Dreadful.

If the call is from the other end i can talk for hours together.

It's not uncommon for me to end up on the phone for an hour if I'm talking to a loved one who lives a long distance away (and has the same carrier I do).

No, I can't handle a hour telephone call. I am a bottom line type of person. As a ex-manager I want just the facts and bottom line I don't need a dissertation, and that goes for most of the SH questions and answers here as well. If the dialogue gets too heavy I tune out, I am past prime time in my life and what I have left in life I am protective of. Being retired has given me more patience but also has taken way my willingness to to blah blah forever. For young folks that is fine, but everything we have done in life or say has been said by someone else so duplicating same observations, same things I have heard bores me.

I'm really bad at talking on the phone. I usually run out of things to talk about.

Urrgh, no way.

My sister-in-law and I spent 11 hours on the phone in one day/night last month. Thankfully, this doesn't happen very often or I'd go nuts since I don't really like to be on the phone that much.

My sister and I watch movies together on the phone. My cousin and I have talked for hours before.

I am not sure how long I talk to my best friend but it seems like forever. I don't pay attention to the time passing-by.. Lol!

I've done long teleconferences (for business purposes)
but in my personal life ..
I really don't like to hang onto the phone for very long ..
it does tend to be tiring indeed ..
