I think so !! I am best friends with my ex-wife and we talk often!! It takes a little work to make it work out that way though not everyone can do it!!!

It all depends on how bad the breakup was, and if you have kids together. In my opinion, the rule of thumb should be "treat others as you would like to be treated by others". If everyone starts to respect everyone as human beings, our children will follow our examples and world will be a better place.

I know a few couples who are still friends with their ex's. One couple still spends most of the holidays together and have dinner together at least once a month. Their children are grown, one is even married.

Though things didnt work relationship-wise with my first boyfriend, we've managed to have an amazingly strong friendship over the years and support one another entirely. We'd go on double dates with our significant others if we could :P

Usually doesn't work that way for me. When I have it all, body and soul, I cannot
reduce it to being just friends. It's all or nothing at all for me. No halfway measures
