No problem. I was eating in a Chinese restaurant once and the manager came over and asked where I learned to eat so well with chopsticks. When I said "Texas", he just shook his head and walked off....

Nor have I wanted to. Give me a fork, because if I wasn't sitting down to food, I wouldn't be hungry.
Why would anyone want to mess around trying to eat with overgrown toothpicks?
No offense to anyone who does, but it's not one of my goals in life. I would eat with my fingers first.

Chopsticks are half the fun of Chinese food, and there is no other way to eat sushi!
If you don't know how, go to a good quality Chinese restaurant and they will make you a pair (some kind of gee whiz trick) with a rubber band - of "training" chopsticks. They are meant for kids, but if you never learned before, suck it up,(no pun intended,) and try something new!

One night, I was watching "NCIS". I was eating my Chinese food with a fork. The actors were all using chopsticks to eat their Chinese food!!!!!!! I was "HMMMPH!!!!! Those showoffs!!!! LOL!!!!!
AND, I'd like to eat my food while it's still hot! So use a fork I will, for Chinese or Japanese dishes!!!

I know exactly what you mean. We have a wonderful Chinese buffet in our town with anything imaginable and they have chopstix at the bar, but I never see anyone use them.
The only place I see them use them is on television, too.

Oh! You noticed that too, huh? And the producers make it a point to have the actors use CHOPSTICKS when eating Chinese food!!!!!!!! Does the food taste better if you use chopsticks? I really don't know. It tastes great with my fork!

Last time I tried to eat friend rice with chopsticks, the only happy guys were our 3 dogs. I had rice on the table, on my lap, on the floor.........Our dogs LOVE rice! But they're not supposed to eat fried rice because of all the seasonings, pork, fishcake, green onions, eggs and whatever else was in the fried rice! (yes, the dogs got most of my rice!!!!!!!! happy, happy dogs!!!!)

Picky eater!!! One dog eats everything, including raw vegetables. The other two (sister and brother) will eat only certain foods! Picky eaters too! Every family has them!!!!!

Nah. But the rice has to be cooked with the correct consistancy. With practice you can pick up a single grain.
