if a lie is told to protect yourself or others i don't seem the harm. i have told white lies and been forgiven, sometimes i havent...never big ones and for that i cant be a judgemental and believe everyone deserves a chance to explain themselves. it just depends who you tell the white lie to and if they can forgive you.

lying is the one thing that you can do to make me loose all my trust in you.

i think it realy depends on the lie and what effect it has on your feelings and life. A simple question to ask is, can you still trust after this lie, or will it happen again...and again...and again...

Forgive, maybe. Maybe not. I could NEVER forget. I may forgive, but I would always be hurt, and reminded of it every time I saw the liar. I just can't stand lying, No excuses!

I will forgive everyone for anything. it's just a matter of when. does that mean that everything will always go back to how they were before? no. I forgive, and forget, but learn from it. if a guy steals from me, I'll forgive him, but be sure to keep an eye on my things from then on, not only infront of him, but everyone.

actully... even if its not for a good reason. im wayy too forgiving.. and thats what i hate about me. i can not hold a grudge. at all. i mean, i guess if you look at it from one point of view- this is good, but its not fair to me. because i feel like im never going to make a statement in the world if i keep forgiving people so easily. like ym ex-boyfriend for example. he told me he loved me and then he cheated on me. i forgave him and he never even asked for forgivness... or said 'im sorry'.
eh i hate how forgiving i am. =[

I can forgive lies, but depending on why the person lied, I always wonder if they are telling the truth after. Seems like a lot of you feel that way, too.
