A couple of my 22 revolvers came with an extra 22 WM conversion cylinder, but neither 22mag cylinder shoots as accurate as the 22lr.
They shoot dirty too.
Just get the Savage 24 in .22Mag over .410.
That is not a good idea. You may reduce the Chamber Sidewall too much.
I had one of those Savage 24's .22 Mag over .410 when I was a Kid nice Gun.
I've got a little M-6 now .22 Hornet over .410.

No it should not be done. The bullet diameter of a 22lr is .223 The 22 mag is .224. I can rechamber a LR to a WMR. I have the reamers but the results are a loss of accuracy, higher chamber pressure and a severally leaded bbl... I will not do it for those reasons..
I have heard that it can be done by a smith with the proper shop. It has been a topic I have discussed before in other forums. It boils down to the existing sidewall of the rifle and whether or not you have enough meat there to withstand the higher stress. Most production guns are lightened as much as possible so as I understand it, not many guns can be safely modified in this way. I will search for the old thread. Or you can yourself. I am pretty sure this was the forum-
