probably, because some people aren't strong enough that's why they commit suicide.

Yeah ! I agree. When you start feeling someone is your world/life and if for some reason you both get seperated, you ofcourse are going to feel alone and sad. I am not blindly speaking, I've been through it.

It not unusual for an elderly person who recently lost their long time spouse to die themselves shortly after. The stress can be overwhelming for them.

People die everyday under the craziest conditions which is why theres a show called "1000 ways to die". Some die due to the fault of others, their own fault, or it was just their time.

Not true. Grief, whether the person died, left, whatever, has a debilitating effect on the body.

I believe it feels that way and I know even now that crushing feeling in your chest that comes from a sense of being unwanted or unloved by someone you care so much for. You feel as if your body is caving in on itself and functions such as breathing can temporarily become something you have to think about to do. That feeling of hopelessness and depression I believe takes a toll on the body maybe leading to heart attack or some other ailment. However you can repair it some with love, support and friendship from others. I find that some people have a knack for mending a broken heart. repair love support friendship people knack mending broken heart broken heart

My mom's parents: her dad (my grandpa) died 13 years earlier 1st, then my grandma died at 93, October, 2002. Both my mom's parents were born in 1909. I miss my grandparents very much!! I think they were married for 40-something years [?] until he died.

My maternal grandparents were together for almost 70 years. Gran went on to outlive pop another nine. I believe having a loving family be there and do things with the surviving parent takes away the loneliness. Gramps was a farmer who got up every morning at 5:30 to tend his fields. Gran was a stay at homer all her life and cooked the most hearty meals every day. Gramps died from a routine hospital operation and grannie fell, was put into hospital for tests and later died of pneumonia. I miss them dearly.

My father died three years ago yesterday. My mother has handled widowhood better than I did at this stage.

I've seen it happen. If it's bad enough, you can just lose the will to live and die for no visible reason. Kind of like Padme did in childbirth when Anakin crossed over to the dark side of the force.

No. Not just weak people. When love tears people apart, grief doesn't just affect the weak.

Grief is a very physical, mental and emotional trauma. It feels like a punch to the stomach. It doubles you over. I can't adequately describe the pain of it. Grief affects the body, the heart, the mind. When my husband died I thought I would die. Not thoughts of suicide, but just wanting to be wherever he was. I can relate to all of this.
