Can I spray carbon on the sole of my shoes so they don't melt on the hot road/sidewalk?

Carbon, unless pressurized for centuries into a diamond, would be black, I believe. And if it were in powder form, maybe graphite? We have gotten that for keys that stick in locks, but not familiar with a spray on carbon. I should think it would actually ruin a carpet.

While the carbon in diamonds is clear, carbon paper and carbon pencils are black, so you can guess what any carbon powder is going to do to any carpets.
