Can I lose 40 pounds in a month? If so, how?

I'm 140 pounds and I want to lose 40 pounds to give me that scrawny boy look. I don't like being curvy and I figured being scrawny will make my body look less feminine. I'm an FTM btw.

    Look into body building. If you want to look more masculine, just take a look at female body builders. Many of them look more masculine than feminine. You may not ose much weight but you will look more feminine and that will help with the breast reduction too. Losing 40 pounds in a month might be unhealthy. Ask your doctor if you can. Go to your local health food store, we have GNC around here. They might be able to help too. Good luck.

    Why change a habit of a lifetime?
    Changing your current diet will only increase your chances of becoming ill, overweight, chemically unbalanced, depressed etc...

    Why not 'rearrange' your current diet?

    Do the 100 day food intake check.

    Eat normally for 100 days and write down everything you eat at the times of day you eat, you will end up with a concise list and frequency, then check ALL the foods content, chemicals, sugars, fats, proteins etc, and list them in order of consumption.

    Take these findings to a registered dietician and have them work out a correct diet using the common denominating food intake your body is used to.

    If the dietician is worth their salt, they will pick up on your requirement immediately just from you list, giving you the same foods your body is used to but rearranging them so one burns the other at a calibrated rate and bringing your body’s excess down to the correct BMI….

    I think we both know that's not going to happen, the meds you are taking to control your metabolism will be the main cause, the only thing you can do for the short term is eat little and often and exercise, the 100 day check is worth a consideration for the long term.

    A healthy weight loss program will cut 2 pounds a week. If you're obese, you can lose more than that in the beginning but it will eventually slow down to 2 pounds a week. Anything else, 5 or ten pounds a week will start to eat away at your muscles which is not good. If you start to do that, you will lose your will do whatever it is you are doing to lose the weight.

    To truly lose weight and keep it off you have to make a lifestyle change; that means you must engage in something that will become a habit. You should do something you like to do. If you don't like exercising you could take up healthy cooking. Healthy cooking can be done cheaply.

    However you want to lose to the weight, do it in a way that you will enjoy. Any kind of exercise using your large muscle groups, legs and torso will burn the most energy. Running seems to be the best way to lose weight but it's not for everyone so don't get stuck on any one thing.

    Remember the important things, make it fun, make it something you will like to do, and do it right. Losing weight too quickly, like a starvation diet will work in the short term but without changing your lifestyle, you are guaranteeing that you will eventually put the weight back on.

    in order to lose weight you gotta cut the amount of calories you put in and do short and intense workouts. try to figure out what your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is and that's how many calories your body needs a day to function. I was 230 pounds at 6'2 i was really chubby i cut down to 175... good weight to be at now i just want some damn abs

    I don't know if you can lose 40 pounds in a month ;o I don't know of anybody that has anyways but when I try to lose weight, I eat only once a day :)

    Tons of people tell me that it's bad and stuff but I know a few people that do it and are very healthy and at a good weight.

    It's actually really easy for me as well since I hate breakfast lol.

    3㎞ walks might be helpful to you.
    but real problem is that after you loose your weight , most of the people gaining back .

    the reason is over eating and junk food sort of stuff .
    you know

    the last result finaly they do care about eating disorder
    after all the things were challenged and didn't turn out right what they supposed to be the best result.

    our body needs a lot of things to control over our bodies

    enough foods to eat it makes your brain to think and study more
    and more healthier.

    what it really necessary is that don't over eat anything.
    substitute a lot of healthy foods that is neccessary.

    Haha I don't need to think or study. My classes are easy. And I'll try to substitute healthier food, instead of eating junk food.
