Last Halloween I bought too much candy. And my kids brought home lots of candy they didn't eat. I figured I'd just give that candy away this year. Just kidding! But, I thought it would make a fun question in anticipation of Halloween.

I have a gazillion kids come to our neighborhood. They come in truckloads from everywhere! I'm going to pay a neighbor girl to hand out candy at our house so we can go with my granddaughers. I'm decorating tonight for Halloween, I love it and all holidays.

Most candy will outdate in monthes, unless it's frozen. If chocolate gets a white, dusty coating, that doesn't make it white chocolate. It's stale, throw it out. And, I wouldn't give to another what I wouldn't eat myself.

Just eat the old stuff and give the kids fresh.
Although the shelf life of most candy is long (you might check your stash) quality declines if not properly stored.

Ps: Is some of the leftover candy your kids brought home from the previous Halloween?

Lol...Hide from them trick-or-treaters! (Candy does have a long shelf life, over a year usually, consult expiration date on bag.)
