neither. we spent all our energy increasing the quality of life around the world. apparently no one stopped to realize there is only so much money/resources on the planet. the quality of life improves for 3 billion chinese and it's not going to cost anyone? c'mon. i'm not complaining. i'm all for "the good of all" concept. i'm just tired of the leaders of this country blaming each other for the result of their collective efforts.
true. but he's also kinda got no spine. when clinton was fixing this stuff in the 90's he was like "I'm doing this and none of you bitches can stop me" obama's more like "I'm doing this" GOP's like "nahuh" Obama "ok :-(" thus recovery is much slower than it could be
(I still prefer him over the other options so I'll most likely be voting his way)
Bush can share in the blame, alright... but Obama pushed us so far over the top with the inexplicable spending and the massive healthcare fiasco that he makes all other bad presidents look like amateurs.
Our deficit is the result of bad judgment and mismanaged funds. Bush's wars and subprime loans were disastrous, but they're nothing, compared to Obama's trillions in actual spending PLUS the impending collapse of the insurance industry, thanks to this ill-conceived healthcare reform. This WILL have catastrophic financial implications, at a time when our economy is most fragile.
So, Bush may have been the *first* to jump, but Obama's got him beat for height and distance.
Lest we forget, it was Pelosi and the Liberal Democrats that had control of Congress the last two years of Bush and the first two years of Obama. It's been 3-1/2 years of Obama and he still hasn't taken any responsibility for ANY of his actions.
