California is not alone on this one. There are at least 14 countries that have some sort of foie gras ban, mostly targeting its production. However, the difference is that the ban in California not only prohibits foie gras production but also bars shops and restaurants from selling it.

On July 1, California will be bound by the most sweeping anti-foie gras statute in the world. Consumed by few, the pricey delicacy made from duck or goose’s liver is lusted after by chefs and diners for its rich, singular flavor and versatility on the plate for everything from hot dogs to ice cream.

Me...misinformed? Hah! So far as "idiots in FL".....the vast majority of them are the dumbass carpetbaggers from up north...like your relatives that moved here....
And even if they had the chemistry to process feelings of pain, I would still eat them, because they would not be nearly as capable of feelings and conscious thought as animals (Who have the same capability to feel as we do). And as a human, I need to eat in order to sustain my body. Eating for survival is not murder, it's survival, it's nature. Letting animals be tortured because you enjoy the taste (Yet don't need torture it in order to survive) however is both murder and sadistic.
I torture and murder nothing...
I criticize others for supporting the inhumane treating of Goose that goes into making Foie Gras. By eating something, you are of course creating a demand, by creating that demand you are responsible for making sure that your demand is met by ethical considerations (That is, if you care about those kinds of things). Otherwise, you may not be the one that committed the crime, but you are the one that wants to enjoy the benefits of the crime.
Frankly...I don't eat the liver of any animal....or product of one.
And I do not like the way Foie Gras is manufactured. I really don't like the idea of any cruelty or inhuman treatment of animals....though I do eat some meats.

Frankly, I eat a lot healthier than that.....but I do eat meat.

You're such a Wild Child ;0 )
it's getting real old please shut up and do something better with your life

I would answer every time: "2"
Same dumbass questions, get the same answer.
That's harassment. I could report you for that. .3.
And while you're at it, you can report the personal attacks she's making on the people she is attacking. (I believe that's a little clearer violation of the rules, don't you?)
It's just a little bit much o3o As irritating as it is you're doing it as well, so while I appreciate the point you're trying to make it's not really helping your case.
~No offense intended o3o
Foie Gras translated simply means Fatty liver.......Pate' is made useing any birds liver either duck or chicken, goose and turkey can also be used. it is boiled with onions and garlic, once it is cooked a glass of red wine is added and the then added to a blender and whisked up until it is iether smooth or whisked for a second or two for rough pate. It is then tranferrred into little terrines until cooled and then placed in a fridge to set.
Look love, your a vegetarian or maybe a vegan I take it......That's your prerogative. But you have no right to try and belittle those of us who where brought up on meat. If that bothers you then I am sorry, but I am not shoving liver or pate or any other kind of meat or offal into you throat. So I would really appreciate it if you didn't shove your veggie habits down mine.
