SHINE.YAHOO.COM reports:
Ever feel like nothing is secret any more because of the Internet? You may be right. It took 4Chan users only 15 minutes to track down and bust the Cleveland-area Burger King employee who stood on top of two containers of shredded lettuce and then posted a picture of the gross act. 4Chan is a bulletin board-type website where members post images and comments.

Every restaurant (fast food or expensive linen cloth) has the capacity for hiring idiots who do stupid things to our food.

I worked at a restaurant where we were ordered to put food fresh on wilted lettuce inorder to freshen it before opening, lettuce the cheapest vegetable, i was at a restaurant where i ordered wings and fries and pasta noodles with dried sauce was stuck to my wings, upon alerting the waitress to the fact that i did not order pasta so there was no need for pasta to be stuck to my wings (unless they took them off of discarded plates.) she proceeded to pick them up one by one and wipe them off with her apron and put them back on my plate! Shocked the only response i could offer was i hope you'll understand if i don't pay and just leave.

This kid should be charged with endangering the public. Seriously, he should pay a fine and go to jail.

But then, any food you didn't kill, process and cook yourself is unsafe. Even then, you may still be at the mercy of your own hand.

Talk to anyone that has worked in fast-food. The five second rule exists.

Knowing quite a few people who have worked in fast-food. They've all said they didn't have a 5 second rule. And had very high health standards for handling/preparing food. Not all fast-food places have second rules.

Actually your home cooking meals are more unsafe than restaurants, do you have any idea what they know that we don't... they are more educated on health than we do.

This idiot on the pic just wants attention... he should be fired

Make my point as well they need to charge him for the reputation of the restaurant... do you know how many will stop eating at BK because of this? What he did is not a game, maybe for him, but I hope they press charges and make him Pay, I bit he will think twice before he tries to so this again to another restaurant.

He won't have to worry about getting a job at another restaraunt after what he did.

I highly doubt it. I think the places that are more educated on health are Asian restaurants. I've had a friend work at Subway and he said the tomatoes and lettuce aren't as fresh as Subway claims. I believe him because it makes sense that companies don't want to spend so much money on always buying fresh food.

But not because of this picture though. I mean... it just adds to the dozen good reason not to eat at a fast food:

    - too much fat
    - too much salt
    - over-cooked meat
    - low quality ingredient
    - food cooked by unqualified employees
    - bad working condition
    ...
